A funeral service for Ida Mindt, 96, of Bismarck, formerly of Hebron, will be 2:00 p. m. CST, Saturday, January 24, 2015 at First Congregational United Church of Christ in Hebron with Pastor Marcy Dawson officiating. Burial will take place in First Congregational Cemetery, Hebron. Visitation for Ida will be 1:00 – 2:00 p. m. CST Saturday before the service at the church. Ida passed away Monday, January 19, 2015 at Sanford Health in Bismarck, ND. Ida was born September 30, 1918 in Hebron to Joseph and Emilia Seidler. At the age of 16 she started working for different families helping them with their children and housework. Eventually she moved to Bismarck to work at the Baptist Home. It was during this time she met her husband. On August 3, 1952 she married Adam Mindt. They made their home near Bluegrass where they farmed and raised three children, until 1965 when they moved to Hebron. Ida enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, cooking and baking, working in her gardens, especially her flowers, sewing, quilting, crocheting and was very active in her church. In 2010, Ida moved to Mandan to be closer to her family. Ida is survived by her daughter, Lois (Robert) Reetz of Mandan; two sons Bob (Cathy) Mindt of Bismarck and Tim Mindt of Bismarck; three grandchildren Brad (Kristy) Mindt of Mandan, Angela (Ken) Smart of Lincoln and Alan (Jenni) Reetz of Lincoln; four great grandchildren McKenzie, Alyssa, Brady and Kaylee; three sisters, two brothers and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters and one brother. Memorial contributions may be made to Ida’s family.
