Funeral Services for Ida Wenz, 83, of Plevna, MT will be 11:00 a. m. on Friday, October 15, 2010, at the Emanuel Evangelical Free Church in Plevna, MT with Pastor Bruce Inion officiating. Interment will follow in the Plevna Community Union Cemetery at Plevna. Visitation will be 2:00 p. m. to 8:00 p. m. on Thursday, October 15h, at Stevenson Funeral Home in Baker, MT. Ida passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2010, at Holy Rosary Healthcare in Miles City, MT. Ida (Kron) Wenz was born a daughter of Fredrick and Elizabeth (Koppenstein) Kron on November 13, 1926, Funda Sarazika, in the U. S. S. R. Ida?s parents were of German decent and she grew up in Romania. On November 21, 1949, when she was 23 years old, Ida migrated with her family to the United States, entering through Ellis Island in New York City. From there the family traveled to Fallon, MT where they joined the Kron families. While living in Fallon, Ida worked various jobs. She eventually worked in the kitchen at Holy Rosary Hospital in Miles City. Through her sister Lydia, Ida met Clarence Wenz, and the two were married on January 25, 1953, in Plevna, MT. Following their marriage, Ida and Clarence made their home on the Wenz farm north of Plevna. Ida was a homemaker where she raised her two children, Judy and Clayton. She enjoyed her flowers and gardening and loved to sew, embroider and crocheting. Ida was a member of the Plevna Emmanuel Evangelical Free Church and Ladies Aide. Ida was more concerned about others than her self. Ida is survived by her children, Judy (Chuck) Kirby, Rock Springs, WY and Clayton Wenz, Plevna, MT; her grandchildren, Jennifer (Casey) Einrem, Bismarck, ND, Jason Kirby, Colorado Springs, CO, Danny (Beth) Trenary, Grand Prairrie, TX and Shelby Kirby, Ankeny, IA; two great-grand daughters, Jasmin Einrem and Courtlynne Schnoes; her three sisters, Lydia Wenz, Plevna, MT, Jackie (Harold) Meidinger, Terry, MT and Matilda (Lawrence) Wagner, Circle, MT and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence, her parents, Fredrick and Elizabeth Kron, two brothers, Reinhold Kron and Ted Kron and a sister, Olga Roesler.
