Funeral Services for Inez A. Johnson, 93 of Belle Fourche, SD, formerly of Capitol, MT will be 2:00 p. m. Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at Little Missouri Lutheran Church at Capitol, Mt with Pastor Susan Fox officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot in the old Capitol Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:00 a. m. till the time of service at the Church. Inez passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2008 at the Belle Fourche Regional Senior Care Center in Belle Fourche. Inez Ardelle Johnson was born on July 9, 1914 a daughter of Theodore ?Teddy? and Clara (Melum) Overn on the family homestead at Capitol, MT. Inez grew up on the family ranch, and attended country school at Capitol. She later attended high school in Spearfish, SD. Inez returned to the ranch where she caught the attention of a young gentleman who was working on her grandparent?s ranch. Inez and Albert Rolph were married in 1933 at Belle Fourche, SD. After their marriage, Inez and Albert started their own ranch at Capitol. After Albert?s sudden death in 1966, Inez continued to operate the ranch with the help of her brother, Maurice. In 1967, Inez married her closest neighbor, Otto Johnson. Inez and Otto put their two ranches together. Inez moved over to Otto?s ranch where they continued to live until 2006. Due to failing health, Inez and Otto moved into the Belle Fourche Regional Senior Care Center. Otto passed away on April 12, 2007. Inez enjoyed gardening and working outside as well as crocheting, embroidering and writing letters to her family and friends. Inez loved animals, especially cats. She was very active in the Little Missouri Lutheran Church and the Good Hope Ladies Aid. Inez?s greatest love was for her family, especially her nieces and nephews. Inez was grateful to her sisters for them sharing their families with her. Inez is survived by her three sisters, Carrie Major, Montrose, CO, Lollie Odell, Spearfish, SD and Clarice (Jim) Curry, Baker, MT; her brother, Maurice Overn, Belle Fourche, SD and numerous nieces and nephews. Her parents, Teddy and Clara, her husbands, Albert and Otto, and her two brothers, Jim Overn and Chet Overn preceded her in death. Memorials may be given to the Little Missouri Lutheran Church in Capitol, MT.
