Funeral Liturgy for Irmgard Ficek, 91, of Dickinson, ND, will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson. Burial will follow at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery.
Visitation for Irmgard will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at Stevenson Funeral Home.
Irmgard passed away Saturday, August 17, 2019 at St. Lukes Home, Dickinson.

Funeral Liturgy for Irmgard Ficek, 91, of Dickinson, ND, will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson, with Deacon Bob Stockert officiating. Burial will follow at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery.

Visitation for Irmgard will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at Stevenson Funeral Home.

Irmgard passed away Saturday, August 17, 2019 at St. Lukes Home, Dickinson.

Irmgard E. Ficek, was born on November 22, 1927 in Grosc-Heide, Germany, to Max and Mathilda (Bach) Dreher.  She grew up in Germany and attended school.  Irmgard met John Ficek, while John was stationed with the United States Air Force in Germany.  The two were married on August 18, 1951.  Irmgard and John left Germany and settled in Dickinson, ND, where they raised their three children, Karin, Marina, and Elliot.  In 1959, Irmgard began working at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Dickinson.  Over the next 40 years she worked as a nurse’s aide and ward clerk.

Irmgard enjoyed bowling, sewing, knitting, and crocheting.  She was grateful for the friends she regularly had coffee with especially her dear friend Vi Paluck.

Irmgard is survived by her children, Karin (Adrian) Weiler, Bowman, ND; Marina (Ed) Kuntz, Dickinson; Elliot Ficek, Dickinson; grandchildren, Jerry (Lindsay) Weiler, Bowman, ND; Rachelle (Mike) Schroeder, Dickinson; Jaime (Ike) Braden, Kalispell, MT; eleven great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren, with one on the way.

She is preceded in death by her husband John, both of her parents, brothers, Willie and Arthur Dreher; grandchildren, Brian Weiler, Craig Weiler, Scott Weiler.
