Isabel Rebel, 66, of Hebron, died Saturday, July 5, 2008 at St. Alexius Medical Center surrounded by her family. Her long battle with cancer had finally taken its toll. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Central Time at St. John Church in Hebron on Wednesday, July 9, with the Reverend Gaylund Olson, Officiating. Visitation will be held at Spangelo Funeral Home in Hebron on Tuesday from 4-8 pm with a prayer service at 7:30, Visitation will continue on Wednesday one hour prior to the funeral service at church. Burial will be held in the St. John Cemetery in HebronIsabel was born in Mercer County, June 4, 1942, the daughter of Kenneth and Lydia (Huber) Elder. She was raised on the farm and was educated Hebron Schools, and graduated in 1960. She married Richard Rebel February 4, 1961 at St. John Lutheran Church in Richardton. Following marriage they resided in Hebron where Isabel was a devoted housewife and mother. Once the children were in school, Isabel worked outside the home, at the Caf?, and later for Hebron Brick Company. When diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, she retired. She enjoyed her grandchildren, reading, baking, and trying new recipes. She also enjoyed her flowers, and doing word search puzzles. She was a member of the St. John Church in Hebron, and the Women?s Guild. Grateful for having shared in her life are her husband Richard, Hebron, ND; her children: Gary, Steele, ND; Laura (Marv) Messer, Richardton, ND; Chad (Stacey) Rebel, Hebron, ND; and Janell (Darren) Hellman, Glen Ullin, ND; her grandchildren: Emilee, and McKenzie Rebel, Cody, Tyrel and Dylan Rebel, Wade and Thomas Messer, Samantha, Chandra, and Roxanna Hellman, and one great grand daughter Brynn Rebel. She also leaves her two brothers: Clarence (Sylvia) Elder, and Gary (Paulette) Elder all of Hebron, and one sister Arlene (Vernon) Stading, Minot, ND; and one sister-in-law: Alma Elder, Hebron, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Roxanne, and one brother: Alfred
