Izene McHenry, 68, Dunn Center, died Thursday, March 18, 2004 at her home. Memorial services will be 2 p. m. Tuesday, March 23, 2004, at Price-Murphy Funeral Home, Dickinson. Izene Cook was born on October 8, 1935, the only child of Merton and Iva (Betts) Cook in Dunn County, North Dakota. Izene finished high school and went on to college in Walla Walla, Wash. to become a teacher. She taught school in North Dakota before moving to Hot Springs, Mont. Izene taught at the Adventist School and then for the Hot Springs Public School System. She lived in Hot Springs for 3 years and then married Lyle Douglas McHenry on December 26, 1963, in Idaho. Izene loved horses, rounding up cattle. She spent many summers living and cooking at Cow Camp. Izene loved to sew, write letters and gardening. Izene McHenry is survived by: her husband, Lyle, Dunn Center; two daughters, Barbara (Larry) Ailport, Anaconda, Mont. and Betty Norman, Kalispell, Mont. ; one son, Lyle Douglas (Susan) McHenry, Kalispell, Mont. ; six grandchildren, five great grandchildren and numerous cousins, which were like her brothers and sisters. She was preceded in death by: her parents, Merton and Iva Cook and one daughter, Carol JoAnn McHenry.
