James Claiborne

A memorial service for James Claiborne, 37, of Dickinson will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson.

James passed away Sunday, December 18, 2022.

James Madison Claiborne was born June 4, 1985 in Amarillo, Texas to James and Fay (Mullenax) Claiborne. James will be remembered for being very present, selfless and always made sure to give everyone his full attention. He was a great cook. James was a loving father, a wonderful son, and a great friend that will be missed by everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his parents, Jim and Fay Claiborne, Dickinson; sister, Carolyn (Jerry) Freer of Dickinson; children, Emily, Mckenna, Brodie, Edward Claiborne; the love of his life Ashley Thielen, and her parents, Brenda and Ken Thielen; step-daughter, Baileigh Wilson (Hollie Mae Wilson); nieces and nephews, Alyssa, Thomas and Payton Freer; and many beloved friends.
