James Schollmeyer

James A. Schollmeyer, 88, Dickinson, died Sunday, February 4, 2007 in Killdeer. Private family services will be held. James A. Schollmeyer was born on January 24, 1919, in Killdeer to James and Bertha (Donner) Schollmeyer. He attended school in Dunn Center through the 12th grade. After graduation, James worked for Grandfo Chevrolet until joining the service. On Oct. 21, 1941, he joined the U. S. Army and served until he was honorably discharged on Oct. 22, 1945. He married Susan Dietz on November 13, 1946 in Glendive, MT. James A. Schollmeyer is survived by: his wife, Susan, Dickinson; daughters, Suzette Thompson, Manning, and Paulette Miller, Ohio; sons, Arthur, Fargo, Alan, Georgia, Carl, Minneapolis, MN, Paul, Georgia, and Barry Schollmeyer, Killdeer; two brothers, Joe and Alfred Schollmeyer, Dunn Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and one sister.
