Funeral Service for Jan Marie (Beach) Bickel, 54, of Lisbon, ND formerly of Ekalaka, MT will be at 2:00 p. m. on Monday, December 7, 2009 in the Chapel of Stevenson Funeral Home in Ekalaka, MT with Pastor Jimmy Harris officiating. Interment will follow in the Bickel family lot in Beaver Lodge Cemetery in Ekalaka. A Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 p. m. on Thursday, December 10, 2009 at Trinity Lutheran Church at 418 5th. Ave. West in Lisbon, ND with Pastor Jimmy Harris officiating. Jan passed away on Monday, November 30, 2009, near Summit, SD the victim of a tragic motor vehicle crash. Jan Marie (Beach) Bickel was born May 16th, 1955 in Beach, ND to Clifford and Lenore (Hartse) Beach of Ollie, MT. The sixth child of seven; the family moved to Ekalaka, MT in 1965 where Jan went to school, and she graduated from Carter County High School in 1974. Jan married Amos Bickel November 22nd, 1974. Jan loved children and spent the adult years of her life helping and teaching children of all backgrounds and disabilities. Jan is survived by her husband Amos Bickel of Lisbon, ND; son Matthew (Sabrina) Bickel of Loveland CO; daughter Marsha (Kurt) Anderson of Colton, SD grandchildren Dylan and Courtney Anderson of Colton, SD; mother Lenore Beach of Ekalaka, MT; sister Eloise Beach; brothers Babe Beach; Arley (Sue) Beach; Keith (Ellen) Beach; Brad (Sheri) Beach; Wayne Beach. Numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her father Clifford Beach; infant daughter Lashana Bickel. The family requests memorials made in memory of Jan Bickel, be sent to the Wells Fargo Bank, 201 Central Ave. North, Valley City, North Dakota 58072-2969.
