Jane Edna Paul, 87, of Ekalaka, MT formerly of LaPorte, IN went to her Heavenly Home on Monday, March 30, 2009, at Dahl Memorial Healthcare in Ekalaka, MT. In honoring Jane?s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Graveside Service will take place at a later date at the Posey Chapel Cemetery at Rolling Prairie, IN with Pastor Wallace Fox officiating. Jane Edna Paul was born on December 13, 1921, in LaPorte, IN a daughter of Ben and Lillian (Lundstrom) Albertson. Jane grew up in rural Galena Township, and attended schools in Rolling Prairie, where she graduated in 1942. Following her graduation, Jane worked in LaPorte, where she met the love of her life, Richard Wesley Paul. Jane and Richard were married in the First Methodist Church in LaPorte on April 7, 1946. To this marriage, Jane and Richard were blessed with five children. Following their marriage, Jane worked at a local factory and house cleaning as well. Eventually Jane and Richard moved from the country into LaPorte where they made their home. After their retirement, Jane and Richard became involved with the MAPP organization, traveling the country sharing their talents through Gods service with various organizations. Jane and Richard loved the Lord and did all they could do to walk in His ways and be in service to Him. These same values were passed down to each of their children. They were members of the Galena Baptist Church at Rolling Prairie and Grace Baptist Church in LaPorte. Jane taught Sunday school and belonged to the church women?s group. Two Bible verses that were very important to Jane were Proverbs 3:5-6, Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. And Ephesians 2:8-10, For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, least anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. Jane?s family was very important to Jane. She loved to travel and enjoyed visiting her children and grandchildren. Jane was a wonder full cook and was known for her fried chicken, homemade biscuits and potato salad. She always loved to visit with people, and was never too shy to ask them if they knew Jesus. After Richard?s death in November 2004, Jane made her home near South Holland, IL until July 2007 when she moved to Ekalaka. Jane was always amazed with the western frontier, and Ekalaka became the perfect fit! She often marveled at the real cowboys wearing their cowboy hats in Ekalaka. This was a dream come true. Jane is survived by here children, Richard (Sandy) Paul of Belton, MO, Craig (Nancy) Paul of South Holland, IL, Jeffery (Debbie) Paul of Hendersonville, TN, Cheryl (Pastor Wallace) Fox of Ekalaka, MT and Mark (Teresa) Paul of Henderson, NV; 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard, her parents, Ben and Lillian and her sister, Donna Ackerman. Arrangements are under the care of Stevenson Funeral Home of Ekalaka, MT.
