Jean passed away unexpectedly on December 10, 2009 at her home south of Willard. Mary Jean Groff was born on January 20, 1932, a daughter of Louis and Mary (Kobus) Groff in Winona, MN. Jean grew up in Winona where she attended school and graduated from Winona High School. Following her graduation, she worked in the local bakery and also in a textile mill. Through a blind date, Jean met Raymond Bruski of Baker, MT and after a brief courtship; the two were married at St. Stan?s Cathedral in Winona on September 25, 1954. Jean and Raymond were blessed with two children, Raenette and Steve and enjoyed 27 years of marriage. Raymond passed away on December 15, 1981. Jean and Raymond made their home on the Bruski farm south of Willard where they raised their family. Being raised in the city, Jean found she enjoyed life in the country much better. She was a talented seamstress. Her family and Church were very important to her. She cooked a dinner every Sunday for her family and made sure her grandchildren always left Grandma?s house with some fresh baked goodies. Jean was a Devout Catholic and was a member of St. John?s Catholic Church in Baker. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, the Council of Catholic Women and served as a Eucharistic Minister at St. John?s. She was a past member of the Willard Homemakers Club. Jean enjoyed her ?phone buddies?, but her greatest love in life was for her family. She was awaiting the arrival of her third great-grandchild. Jean is survived by her two children, Raenette (Tom) Kendall and Steve (Kim) Bruski both of Baker, MT; five grandchildren, Jarrod (Ryan) Robinson, Belgrade, MT, Kari (Lucas) Guse, Maricopa, AZ, Jessica (Dustin) Baldwin, Billings, MT, Kyle (Kelly) Bruski, Baker, MT and Kirk Bruski, Billings, MT; two great-grandchildren, Dylan Robinson and Taylor Bruski; three sisters-in-law, Frances Bruski, Geraldine Bruski and Lucile Kurtz and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Mary, her loving husband, Raymond, her son-in-law, Dana Robinson, her brother, Richard Groff and her two sisters, Mildred Bernadot and Marge Thomas.
