Funeral Service for Jean Cameron, 84, of Baker, MT will be at 11:00 a. m. on Tuesday, February 7, 2012, at the Baker Community Church in Baker, MT with Reverend Mark D. Arnold officiating. Interment will follow in Bonnievale Cemetery at Baker. Visitation will be 1:00 p. m. to 5:00 p. m. on Monday, February 6th, at Stevenson Funeral Home in Baker and will continue on Tuesday one hour prior to the service at the church. Jean passed away on Friday, February 3rd, 2012 at Fallon Medical Complex in Baker, MT. Jean Elaine Cameron was born on October 13th, 1927, the daughter of James E. (Ted) Cook and Julia (Lou) Wagner Cook, 24 miles northeast of Sentinel Butte, ND on her parent?s ranch. She was reared and educated in the Sentinel Butte area and graduated from Sentinel Butte High School in 1945. After graduation, Jean attended Dickinson Teacher?s College in Dickinson, ND where upon furthering her education began teaching in Elk Creek Township, ND. In the fall of 1948 her teaching career brought her to Fallon County, MT where she would continue to teach in the rural schools for the next 18 years. In 1951, Jean met Colin (Cog) Cameron and they were married on June 15, 1952. To this union two daughters were born. Jean and Cog lived in Ollie, MT, Thelen, ND, and Plevna, MT before moving to Baker. After retiring from teaching in 1966, Jean went to work as a deputy clerk in the Clerk of Courts office in Baker, MT. In the fall of 1981 she became Clerk of Court, retiring from that position on December 31, 1989. Jean liked spending time on the farm she and Cog owned 12 miles north of Baker on the Big Hill. She was fond of dancing and enjoyed playing cards, especially with her grandchildren. She was an active member of the Baker Community Church, where she taught Sunday School and served on many boards, helping in many capacities over the years. Jean loved and cherished her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She and Cog rarely missed an event or activity that they were participating in. Survivors include two daughters, Rebecca ?Becky? (Charles) Zinne, Watford City, ND, Joanne ?Jodi? (David) Schuetzle, Plevna, MT; seven grandchildren, Brandon Zinne, Mandan, ND, Kendra (Jeremy) Ruff, Stevensville, MT, Kalli (Robby) Schell, Minot, ND, Kylen (Dianna) Schuetzle, Great Falls, MT, Kadri Schuetzle, Baker, MT, Jayden Zinne, Bismarck, ND, Kaytlen Schuetzle, Valley City, ND. Five great-grandchildren; Taylor Zinne and Payton Schell, Phoenix Alford and Memphis Schuetzle and Hazen Ruff. Sisters-in-law, Virginia (Buck) Shepherd, Red Lake Falls, MN, Rosemarie (Bob) Dahlman, Baker, MT, ?special? sister-in-law, Lolita Cameron, Baker, MT, and numerous nieces and nephews. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Colin (Cog); her parents, two brothers, Edward (Eddie) and Harold. The family requests memorials be made to the Baker community Church or Quality Personal Care, Baker, MT.
