Funeral Mass for Jean A. Krank, 78, of Dickinson, will be 10:00 a. m. , Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at St. Joseph?s Catholic Church with Father Keith Streifel, celebrating. Burial will take place later this spring in St. Joseph?s Cemetery, Dickinson. Visitation for Jean will be from 12:00 p. m. to 9:00 p. m. , Monday, February 28, 2011 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson with a Rosary and Prayer Service taking place at 7:00 p. m. in the chapel of Stevenson Funeral Home. Jean passed away, Thursday, February 24, 2011 at St. Benedicts Health Center in Dickinson, ND. Jean A. Etherington was born December 26, 1932 in Center (Sanger), ND, the daughter of Frank and Ruth (Hickle) Etherington. She grew up on the family farm and attended the local country school. Jean later moved to Dickinson and attended Model High School. It was here that she met Charles Krank. Jean and Charles were married on November 20, 1949. Together they made their home in Dickinson and raised their seven children. Through the years, Jean worked at various places around Dickinson including: White Drug, Greene Drug and Roughrider R. V. After Charles passed away in 2004, Jean spent several years in St. Paul, MN before returning to Dickinson. Jean enjoyed playing the piano, gardening, sewing, quilting, drawing and painting pictures. She also spent countless hours working on crossword puzzles. Jean is survived by her three sons, Kevin (Patricia) Krank, Los Alamos, NM, Daniel Krank, Dickinson and Brandon Krank, Dickinson; four daughters, Kathleen (Alvin) Schaff, Scranton, ND, Karla (Andy) Azonabor, Dracut, MA, Linda (Dave) Kracht, St. Paul, MN and Gloria Krank, Redfield, SD; three brothers, Bill (Bernice) Etherington, Center, ND, Jack Etherington, Sioux Falls, SD, and Walt Etherington, Rapid City, SD; two sisters, Alice Hutchinson, Las Vegas, NV and Rose (Claude) Lumpkin, Delta, AL; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, her parents, Frank and Ruth Etherington; one brother, Frank Etherington; one brother-in-law Bob Hutchinson and one step-grandson, Chad.
