Funeral Mass for Jeanette Bozekowski, 84, of Dickinson will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 20, 2018 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Dickinson with Father Todd Kreitinger celebrating. Burial will follow in the St. Patrick Cemetery.


Visitation for Jeanette will be 2:00 – 7:00 p.m., Friday, January 19th at Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson with a rosary and vigil service being held at 6:00 p.m.


Jeanette passed away Monday, January 15, 2018 at CHI St. Alexius, Dickinson.


Jeanette was born January 29, 1933 the daughter of John and Philomine (Hladik) Horejsi in Lankin, ND. She attended grade school in Lankin, Nekoma and Grafton, ND where she graduated from high school in 1951. On September 6, 1955 she and Ray Bozekowski were united in marriage in the St. John’s Catholic Church in Grafton, ND. They made Grafton their home until 1966. Then they moved to East Grand Forks, MN for a short period of time before moving to Mandan in 1967 and then on to Dickinson in 1969. Dickinson had been their home since that time. Jeanette worked at White Drug and The Medicine Shoppe before retiring in 1995. She was involved in a number of ministries at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church including; song leader, Eucharistic minister, reader, rosary leader and money counter. Jeanette was devoted to daily Mass, the Divine Mercy Chaplet and she participated in an hour of adoration and all-night vigil on first Fridays for many years. Jeanette was a member of St. Patrick’s Study Club and Small Faith Groups. She served on the social and family life committee and as a volunteer at St. Benedict’s Nursing Center. Jeanette thoroughly enjoyed being a homemaker. Her cleaning, baking and cooking skills were a very important part of her life along with her devotion to her husband and children. Jeanette was a very giving person and she dedicated a gracious amount of time to baking for charity, family and friends. She enjoyed reading, embroidery work, and she had a special love for music, especially easy listening music and ballads.


Jeanette is survived by her sons, Kim (Cindy) Bozekowski of Thornton, CO and Mark Bozekowski of Englewood, CO; daughters, Coreen Markwell of Littleton, CO and Brenda (Jerrod) Milton of Littleton, CO; grandchildren, Ashley, Alyssa, and Joel Bozekowski, Breanna and Blair Markwell and McKenna and Cameron Milton; and brother, Roman (Joy) Horejsi of Park Rapids, MN.


She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond; sister, Elaine Kadlec and brother-in-law, Ludger Kadlec.


In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be given to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and or Trinity School System.
