Graveside Rites for Jeanette Schiwal, 78 of Lincoln City, OR, formerly of South Heart is 2:00 p. m. , Monday, July 18, 2005, at St. Mary?s Cemetery in South Heart. Visitation will be Sunday, July 17, 2005 from 2:00 p. m. to 9:00 p. m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p. m. at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel in Dickinson. Visitation will continue on Monday, from 8:00 a. m. until 1:30 p. m. at the chapel. Jeanette passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2005 at Lincoln City, OR. Jeanette A. Schiwal was born in Beach, ND on May 22, 1927, to Owen and Barbara (Holland) Hughes. She attended and graduated from school in Beach, ND. She then earned her teaching certificate and taught in country schools in the Beach and South Heart areas. Jeanette then worked in retail at a local grocery store. On September 24, 1947 Jeanette married Carl Schiwal at St. Elizabeth?s Catholic Church in Lefor, ND. The couple lived in the home Carl built for them in South Heart for most of their lives and retirement. After Carl passed way, Jeanette moved to Oregon to be closer to her family. Jeanette loved spending time with her family, doing embroidery work, and going to the casinos to gamble. Survivors include two sisters: Gladys Beavers, Otis Oregon; Helen Jensen, LaPine, OR ; one brother Charles Hughes, Rockingham, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded by her parents; her husband: Carl; two brothers: Les and Henry Hughes; two sisters Viola Anderson, and Marjorie Mathews.
