Jeannette Elmore

Funeral Services for Jeannette Elmore, 69, of Eureka SD, formerly of Baker MT, will be 10:30 a. m. , Friday, December 27, 2013 at Stevenson Funeral Home in Baker with Pastor Mike Davis officiating. Burial will be in Bonnievale Cemetery in Baker. Visitation for Jeannette will be one hour prior to the funeral on Friday, December 27, 2013 at the chapel. Jeannette passed away on December 20, 2013 at Sanford Health in Bismarck, NDJeannette was born on March 29, 1944 the daughter of John and Susan (Huber) Biel in Eureka, SD. She grew up and attended schools in Eureka, graduating from High School in 1962. Jeannette was united in marriage to David Elmore in 1965 in Baker. To this union Cynthia, Charity and Shane joined the family. Throughout most of the years, they raised their children in Baker. Jeannette worked at the Fallon County Clerk and Recorders office for many years. After her year’s with the county, she operated and managed the American Legion Steak House until she moved to Eureka, SD in 1999. Jeannette owned and managed her own restaurant in Eureka for several years. She then began managing the American Legion Club in Eureka until she retired. The American Legion Auxiliary was a very important part of Jeannette's life. She served as President of the Montana Auxiliary from 1998-1999. She truly loved and cherished this time, getting to see and travel around the country. Jeanette was proud of her children and often would tell everyone that she was blessed with her kids. She was an avid Minnesota Viking fan and truly enjoyed her last trip to see the Purple Machine. Jeannette would do anything for her children and they loved her dearly. Survivors include her daughter, Charity (Bill) Allen, Eureka, SD; her son, Shane Elmore, Baker, MT; a brother, Stanley (Darlene) Biel, Douglas, WY; a sister, Bernice Orth, Eureka, SD; a sister-in-law; Bea Barkley, Baker, MT; her husband, David, Bowman, ND and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant daughter, Cynthia.
