Liturgy of the Word for Jeannette Krebs, 86, of Dickinson will be 10:00 a. m. , Wednesday, May 4, 2011 in the Chapel of Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson with Deacon Ron Keller celebrating. Burial will take place in the Union Cemetery in Mandan, ND. Visitation for Jeannette will be from 1:00 p. m. to 9:00 p. m. , Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at Stevenson Funeral Home with a Rosary and Vigil Service taking place at 7:00 p. m. Jeannette passed away, Thursday, April 28, 2011 at St. Luke?s Home in Dickinson. Jeannette Lakin was born March 17, 1925 at Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, the daughter of Edwin and Helen Marie (Tate) Lakin. She grew up and attended school in Fond du Lac. On May 2nd 1946, Jeannette married Grant Krebs at the Presentation Church in Fond du Lac. To this union one daughter, Dawn, was born. The family lived in Fond du Lac, Saxon and Stitzer, WI. In 1961, the family moved to Selfridge, ND while Grant managed the cheese plant there. In later years, Jeannette and Grant lived in Bismarck where they loved to go camping and fishing and spending time with friends. After Grant?s death in 1979, Jeannette moved to Dickinson to be closer to her family and worked at St. Luke?s Home in the dietary department. After retirement, Jeannette moved to Evergreen until 2007 when she moved to St. Luke?s Home. Jeannette loved music and her pets. Spending time with her grandsons brought her great enjoyment. Jeannette is survived by her daughter Dawn Marie (Kevin) Kolling; grandchildren, Brad (Harmony) Kolling, Joe (Angela) Kolling, Grant (LaTeia) Kolling, and Adam (friend Rachel) Kolling; and great-grandchildren, Caitlyn, Lane, Andrew, Brooklyn and Leah. She was preceded in death by her husband, Grant; parents, Edwin and Helen; one infant son, one infant grandson, Christopher Kolling, one great-granddaughter Morgan Kolling, brother, Earl Lakin and sister Beatrice Lang. Family suggests memorials to Evergreen, St. Luke?s Home or Alzheimer?s Association.
