A Memorial Service for Jedd ?Charlie Brown? Parfrey, 46 of Buffalo, SD will be at 3:00 p. m. on Monday, February 18, 2013, in the Four Seasons Pavilion at the Bowman County Fairgrounds in Bowman, ND. A private family interment will be at a later date. Jedd Allen Parfrey (Charlie Brown) died February 8th, 2013 after a 7-month battle with cancer. He was born April 12, 1966 in Belle Fourche. He was raised in Harding County by a slew of people, primarily his parents, Lyle and Gail. He enjoyed spending time on the ranches of his Aunt Louise and his Uncle Gary, and would do whatever it took to get out there. Charlie was always on the go and enjoyed visiting people his entire life. Charlie graduated from Harding County High School in 1984. He attended NAU in Rapid City for a semester before moving up to Dickinson State University to wrestle for another semester. After leaving DSU, Charlie worked a number of places around Harding County. In 2000 he started CB trucking and a road blading business, CB Inc. Charlie was active in sports in high school and had a life-long love of team roping. He coached wrestling off and on and attended countless matches over the years. He enjoyed helping the youth of Buffalo in wrestling, rodeo, and any other way he could. Another love was his wife, Marilyn. They were married in Buffalo, September 3, 1993, 11 years after their daughter Tommi was born. Marilyn and Charlie lived in Buffalo for a number of years before making their home 7 miles west of town. They enjoyed country life and spending time riding their horses. Charlie was a great storyteller and loved pestering anyone he could. He had a big heart and his smile warmed the hearts of countless people across the nation. It was very rare to travel anywhere with him that he didn?t find at least one friend at each stop along the way. In 2009, he and Marilyn became ?snow birds? and started wintering in Arizona in order to spend more time roping. It was there where he passed away, with a heart full of love for Jesus. Charlie is survived by his wife Marilyn; daughter Tommi (Jesse) Glines; and granddaughters Mya and Lilyana; his parents Lyle and Monica Parfrey and Gail Parfrey and Tom Johnson all of Buffalo; and brother-in-law Garrett Talton of Miles City, MT. He was preceded in death by his sister Shelly Talton, brother-in-law Will Teigen, father-in-law Harlie Teigen, uncles, Duane ?Stub? Tennant, Gary Tennant and Gene Jenson, and grandparents Martin & Helen Tennant and Junior & Dorothy Parfrey.
