A Funeral service for Jeff Urban, 59, of Belfield, will be 2:00 p. m. , Friday, October 18, 2013 at Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson. In accordance with Jeff’s wishes, cremation will take place and burial will be at a later date.
Visitation for Jeff will be 1:00 p. m. to 9:00 p. m. on Thursday, October 17th at Stevenson Funeral Home with a Prayer service being held at 7:00 p. m. Visitation will continue from 9:00 a. m. to 2:00 p. m. on Friday prior to the service.
Jeff passed away Monday, October 14, 2013. Jeffery was born January 6, 1954 in Beach, the son of Wihelm and Ellyn (Brennan) Urban.
He grew up in Fryburg, ND and attended school there. After school, he started driving truck and continued to help on Uncle Dan’s farm throughout the years. On July 27, 1990, Jeff married the love of his life, Naomi Hlibichuk. To this loving marriage, the couple was blessed with two precious sons, Robert and Jesse. Jeff also worked at various construction jobs throughout the oil field, but he always called Belfield his home. Jeff treasured his family and enjoyed family gatherings. He dearly loved his two boys. Jeff enjoyed spending time outside and going for walks and drives in the Badlands with his beautiful blue eyed blonde, Naomi. He was a fixer. Jeff could fix anything and would help anyone in need. He loved riding his motorcycle and tinkering with motors and electronics. Jeff liked to tease others and had a huge heart. No one was a stranger for long around Jeff. He was a very talented man and he enjoyed listening to music and singing karaoke. He always made time for children and the elderly.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Naomi; two sons, Robert and Jesse Urban; brothers, David (Bertha) of Belfield, Bruce (Loretta) of Barstow, CA, and Dwight (Laurie) of Dickinson; sisters, Dorothy (Leonard) Makowski of Belfield, LaDonna (John) Hutzenbiler of Dickinson, Charlotte (William) Martian of Rhame and Sandra (friend, Kevin Bakken) Ridl of South Heart; extended family, “Mom and Dad” Bob & Eva Hlibichuk and families of Belfield; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilhelm and Ellyn; brother, Duane; and several nieces and nephews.
