Jeff passed away Sunday March 26, 2023 while hospitalized in Bismarck, ND.
He was born in Dickinson, ND on August 7, 1967. He spent his early years on the family farm near Manning, ND. He loved interacting with the farm animals, especially his pony, Chico. Jeff graduated from Trinity High School in 1986.
In 1989, he was seriously injured in an automobile accident, but after a long rehab he completed an associates degree in Mechanical Drafting and Design at North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton, ND. Though a paraplegic for the remainder of his life, he drove a pickup, owned his own home and worked as an Associate Design Assistant (computer draftsman) for Bobcat Company in Bismarck, ND for over fifteen years. He visited the farm often and spent hours driving around on his golf cart. When his nephews would visit, he entertained them by giving golf cart tours of the farm.
Jeff had many interests including cooking, gardening and collecting model farm implements. He was a member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, serving as a chapter chair for four years. He also served on the North Dakota State Rehabilitation Council for two terms. He was an avid fan of the Minnesota Vikings, Minnesota Twins and the NDSU Bison.
In spite of his constant battle with pain and medical complications, Jeff maintained a sense of humor and continuously surprised family, friends and medical staff with his never-give-up attitude.
Jeff is survived by his loving parents Robert J. and Alice Bezdicek (Manning, ND), brothers Greg, Myron (wife Rita) and sister Joyce (husband Milt Epstein) and nephews Aidan and Devin Epstein.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Debbie Bezdicek.
