Funeral Mass for Jeffrey Wade Hecker, 50, of Dickinson, formerly of Richardton will be Saturday July 14, 2007, 9:00 a. m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Richardton, ND with Abbot Brian Wangler O. S. B. and Father Boniface Muggli O. S. B. Con-celebrating. Visitation will take place from 12:00 a. m. to 9:00 p. m. Friday, July 13, 2007 at Stevenson Funeral Home with a vigil service taking place at 7:00 p. m. Jeff passed away Saturday, June 16, 2007 at St. Joseph?s Hospital and Health Center in Dickinson due to complication from his battle with lung cancer. Jeffrey Wade Hecker was born February 4, 1957 to Peter and Veronica ?Bonnie? (Boltz) Hecker in Richardton, ND. Jeff grew up as one of eight children in the Hecker home. He attended school in Richardton, graduating from Richardton High in 1975. During his time at RHS Jeff was very active in the music program participating in both the Jazz and Pep band. Besides working as a paperboy and spending time as a Boy Scout, Jeff also worked as a student manager for the Richardton Football team. Jeff has made his home in Dickinson for the past several years. Jeffrey enjoyed music of all types and could usually be found jamming to a song from one of his favorite bands. Jeff had an engaging smile that would grow whenever he was around people. His time with his family was very dear to him. His nieces and nephews always held a special place in his heart. Jeffery is survived by his parents Pete and Bonnie; two brothers, Richard (Carla) Hecker of Miles City, MT; Scott (Marci) Hecker of Billings, MT; five sisters, Debra (Jeff) Dressler of Bismarck, ND; Margo Hecker of Menomonie, WI; Julie Hecker of Billings, MT; Paula (Chris) Wood of Austin, TX; Jenifer (Mark) Brindamour of Grand Forks, ND; and14 nieces and nephews. He is preceded by both his paternal and maternal grandparents, and a nephew.
