Funeral Mass for Jeffrey Schumacher, 59, of Glen Ullin will be 10:00 am CT, Friday, May 17, 2019 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Glen Ullin with Father Jeff Zwack celebrating.  Burial will take place in Sacred Heart Cemetery.


Jeffrey passed away Saturday, May 11, 2019 at his home in Glen Ullin.


Jeffrey “Tubbs” Schumacher was born May 2, 1960 in Bismarck, son of Konston and Lauretta (Freitag) Schumacher. He grew up and attended school in Glen Ullin until going to work for the railroad at sixteen years old. Tubbs worked hard on the railroad for over 36 years. In the early years Tubbs and his friend Kerry “Zippy” Fitterer would leave town on Sunday and drive to Montana to work the rail roads for the week. Tubbs suffered a stroke which took him away from working. He married Sherry Schaaf and became a dad to her children, Mindy and Ricco. He had a soft spot for his family, his animals and his jeep. Jeffrey was a softhearted man with an infectious smile.


He is survived by his mother, Lauretta of Glen Ullin; brothers, Alvin of Haver, Mt, Charlie (Pam) of Hebron, Robert of Glen Ullin, Donald of Glen Ullin, Bill of Glen Ullin; sisters, Marge (Robert) Thomas of Glen Ullin, Carletta (Terry) Meuchel of Hebron; numerous nieces and nephews; aunt, Bert (Robert) Schutt of Beulah; best friend, Kerry “Zippy” Fitterer of Glen Ullin; children, Mindy (Jon) Faciane and Ricco Gonzales; grandson; Gabriel Faciane.


He is preceded in death by his father, Konston Schumacher; nephew, Jeremy Schumacher.
