Jenny passed away Sunday, August 9, 2020 at St. Benedict’s Health Center, Dickinson.

Jenny was born December 20, 1920 in Stark County, the daughter of Frank and Ida (Kuntz) Huschka. As a young girl, she attended country school through the eighth grade. Johanna married Edward Eberts Jr. on November 21, 1939. Their marriage was blessed with three sons and two daughters. Together they raised their family while farming south of South Heart. Jenny and Ed retired from the farm in 1971 and Dickinson became their home. She had worked as a CNA for twelve years at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Jenny loved gardening, canning and preserves. She was a wonderful cook and made sure no one left her home hungry, always making many favorites for her kids and grandkids. A holiday favorite was her homemade bread dressing from scratch. Jenny was a sweet lady who enjoyed crocheting, playing cards and being a member of a bowling league, volunteer singing group and sewing club. She was a devout and faithful Catholic and was a member of Queen of Peace since 1971, a member of the Catholic Daughters, and St. Mary’s Altar Society in South Heart. Jenny always had a sense of humor and was full of laughter. She lived by the saying “Live, Love, Laugh.”

Jenny is survived by her sons, Kenneth (Norma) Eberts of Okeechobee, FL, Allan (Jennifer) Eberts of Seattle, WA, Dennis (Jeanette) Eberts of Dickinson; daughters, Verlene (Ben) Sticka of Dickinson and Elaine (Steve) Weeks of New Port Richey, FL; 15 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Tom (Georgia) Huschka of Dickinson; sisters, Phillipine Kostelecky of Dickinson, Magdalene Lopez of CA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Ida Huschka; husband of 63 years, Edward Jr. (2002); sisters, Cecelia Wandler, Leocadia Emmil; brother, Nick Huschka.
