John Brausch, age 77 of Glen Ullin, died Friday, February 16, 2007 at SCCI Hospital in Mandan. Funeral services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Glen Ullin on Thursday, February 22, 2007 at 10:00 Am Central time. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 3-9 PM at Spangelo Funeral Home in Glen Ullin with a Vigil service at 8:00 PM and will continue one hour prior to services at the Church. Burial will be in the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery in rural Mandan at 1:00 PM Central Time. John was born December 17, 1929 at Pingree, ND the son of Peter and Elise (Behnke) Brausch. He was raised and educated in the Pingree ? Buchanan area. He entered the US Army on July 3, 1947 and served with the 82nd Airborne Division. Following discharge on June 6, 1950 he worked in construction which brought him to Glen Ullin. He married Mary Emineth Vogel April 19, 1958 at Sacred Heart in Glen Ullin. Together they operated Mary?s Lounge in Glen Ullin until they retired. He is survived by five sons: David (Connie) Vogel, Salem, OR; Jay and Todd of Glen Ullin; Dee (Jennifer), Albany, OR; Shane, Sublimity, OR and six grandchildren, Heidi, Christina, Hannah, Chloe, Steven, and Harrison. He is also survived by one brother: Edward, of Hays, Kansas and three sisters: Gertrude Smith and Alice Frederick, both of Jamestown, ND; and Mary Beedy, of Carrol, IA. He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Mary Brausch, parents, and seven brothers and three sisters
