John Schneider

Funeral Services for John H. Schneider, 79, of Dickinson, ND, will be 7:00 p. m. Wednesday, June 30, 2010, at Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson with Pastor Ryan Perry officiating. A second service will be held Monday, July 12, 2010, at Evergreen Funeral Home in Everett, WA. Visitation will be 2:00 p. m. to 9:00 p. m. , Tuesday, June 29, 2010, at Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson. John passed away Thursday, June 24, 2010, at St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck, ND. John Henry Schneider was born November 2, 1930, in Lefor, ND. He grew up and attended school in Lefor and also Dickinson. As a young man, he entered the U. S. Army and was honorably discharged on November 21, 1951. He returned to North Dakota, where he began working for several businesses. In 1951, John moved to Everett, WA, where he worked at several warehouses. He was married to Mary Huffman on September 19, 1974, in Washington State. They moved back to Dickinson in 1988, where they bought a home and have made a home since. John enjoyed fishing, playing cards, especially pinochle, and bowling. He loved to be near his children and grandchildren. John and Mary enjoyed traveling and going back to Washington to visit their children and grandchildren. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dickinson. John is survived by his wife, Mary; two sons, Nicholas Schneider, Marysville, WA, and Paul (Cindy) Schneider, Lake Stevens, WA; two daughters, Roberta (Pat) Foley, Buxton, ND and Mary (Rocky) Berger, Marysville, WA; 11 grandchildren, Bobbie Jiminez, Leona (Scott) Christie, Pat (Eva) Foley, Paulette (Ezra) Perez, Scott Berger, Nick Schneider, Bobby Berger, Heather Schneider, Tanya Schneider, Shane Schneider, Angela (Craig) Knutson; 22 great-grandchildren, Teea (Ray) Torres, Danson Foley, Ashley Christie, Brandi Christie, Nicole Christie, Tiffany Christie, Angela Foley, P. J. Foley, Michael Foley, Alex Torres, Jose Torres, Ezmerald Torres, Andre Torres, Emily Torres, Gabriel Perez, Jade Berger, Jaylynn Meno, Raymond Schneider, Makenize Schneider, Cameron Schneider, Chase Berger, and Austin Schneider, 4 great-great grandchildren, Aaden Foley, Jayden Jenson, Xavier Torres and Julain Torres. He was preceded in death by one son, Raymond Schneider; one daughter, Rosie Schneider; four brothers, Pete, Andy, Joe and Nick; one sister, Anna Schneider, one grandson, Francis Foley and a great grandson, David Foley.
