Funeral Services for Joseph Snyder, 96 of Dickinson will be 10:00 a. m. , Monday, July 3, 2006 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah?s Witnesses in Dickinson. Burial will follow in the Dickinson Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:00 a. m. to 9:00 p. m. on Saturday, July 1, 2006 and 12:00 p. m. to 9:00 p. m. on Sunday, July 2, 2006 at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel. Monday visitation will be one hour prior to service at the Kingdom Hall. Joe passed away Thursday, June 29, 2006 at St. Joseph?s Hospital and Health Center in Dickinson. Joe was born May 15, 1910 on the family farm Northeast of South Heart, ND, the son of Frank and Pauline Koslovky Snyder. He attended the Rambousek School Northeast of South Heart through the eighth grade. On November 11, 1937, Joe was married to Margaret Hropko in Dickinson. They had two sons: Raymond, born October 16, 1938 and Rodger, born December 26, 1940. They farmed the family farm first and then moved Northwest of Belfield in 1945. He was devoted to Bible study and sharing his faith with others. In 1959, he went to a ministry school in New York for a month long course to further his help to the congregation of Jehovah?s Witnesses, where he was an elder. Joe continued to go to summer conventions for many years. He loved visiting and having company on the farm. When Joe moved to Dickinson because of his health, he still enjoyed company. He always had something encouraging to say because of his Bible reading. Survivors include a son, Rodger (Mandy) Snyder, Central, OR ; a daughter-in-law, Nancy Snyder, Dickinson; eight grandchildren: Melvin Snyder, Belfield, ND, Darrell (Margo) Snyder, Belfield, ND, Dennis Snyder, Gallup, NM, Kathy (Andrew) Quillmann, Albuquerque, NM, Jeremy (Bree) Snyder, Bismarck, ND, Caleb ( Wendy) Snyder, Portland, OR, Darrin Snyder, Redmond, OR and Hannah Snyder, Madras, OR; eleven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Margaret, a son, Raymond Snyder; four brothers: Albert, Frank, Laudie and John and two sisters: Pauline and Mary.
