Funeral Mass for Joseph V. Wolbeg, 82, of Dickinson is 10:00 a. m. Friday, August 3, 2007 at the Queen of Peace Catholic Church with Father Austin Vetter celebrating. Burial will be in the St. Patrick?s Cemetery in Dickinson with Military Rites by the Dickinson Veterans Drill TeamVisitation will be 9:00 a. m. to 5:00 p. m. , Thursday, Aug. 2, 2007 at Stevenson Funeral Home in Dickinson continuing at 6:00 p. m. at St. Benedict?s Chapel with a Rosary and Vigil being held at 7:00 p. m. at St. Benedict?s Chapel. Deacon Ron Wolberg will be officiating. Visitation will continue on Friday one hour prior to the service at the Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Joseph passed away on Monday, July 30, 2007 at St. Benedict?s Health Center in Dickinson. Joseph Wolberg grew up and attended school at New Hradec. Following his schooling, he enlisted in the US Navy and served until 1945. He returned to Dickinson where he was united in marriage on October 22, 1946 to Mildred Kralicek. The lived with Michael Wolberg, and helped him farm east of Manning. In September of 1948, the moved to the Kralicek farm where they farmed until 1965, until they moved to Dickinson and Joseph worked at the Farmer?s Union. He was also involved with insurance sales and worked with Cliff Davis in financial services. In 2004, Joseph retired and Millie and Joseph continued to make Dickinson their home. Joseph enjoyed gardening, fishing, bowling, and playing cards. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Catholic War Veterans, St. Anthony?s Club, and was on the board of directors for the Czeck Heritage Center in Dickinson. Survivors include: His wife, Millie of Dickinson; one son: Jerry (Estelle) Wolberg, of Dickinson; one daughter, Donna (Robert) King of Bismarck; one daughter-in-law, Rena Wolberg of Oceanside, CA; one brother, Robert J. (Mary) Wolberg of Dickinson; three sisters: Margaret Roshau, Dorothy (Thielen) Heidt all of Dickinson; Mari Anne (Douglas) Geck of Overland Park, KS; and five grandchildren. He is preceded in death by, his parents; and one son, Eugene Wolberg. A memorial has been established for Heartland Hospice of Dickinson or a charity of your choice.
