Josephine Kovash Binstock, 95, Dickinson, died Thursday, January 01, 2004, at St. Benedict?s Health Center, Dickinson. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 5, 2004, at St. Patrick?s Catholic Church, Dickinson, with the Rev. Austin Vetter celebrating. Interment will be in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, New Hradec. Visitation will be Sunday from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. with rosary being said at 4 p.m. led by Deacon Joe Kappel. Josephine Jedlicka was born August 21, 1908 in Dickinson to Wencel and Anna (Chastek) Jedlicka. She lived with her parents on a farm five miles northeast of South Heart. She attended school in South Heart. On October 23, 1928, she married William Kovash at Sts. Peter and Paul Church, New Hradec, ND. They farmed north of New Hradec. William passed away February of 1950. Josie moved to Dickinson in 1951 and worked as a cook at St. Joseph?s Hospital and Health Center for seven years. In September of 1957, Josie married John Binstock. They farmed northwest of Dickinson until they retired in 1962 and moved to Dickinson. John died in April of 1992. Josie is survived by: one son, Leonard (Delores) Kovash, Dickinson; one daughter, Valeria Praus, Moorhead, MN; two step-daughters, Martha (Laudie) Dvorak, Dunn Center and Margaret (Edward) Dvorak, Manning; two step-sons, Ray (Sylvia) Binstock and George (Arlene) Binstock, Dickinson; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; 20 step- grandchildren, 42 step-great-grandchildren, six step-great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: both husbands, parents, two brothers, seven sisters and one step-grandson. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Benedict?s Health Center.
