A Funeral Mass for Josephine Privratsky, 93, of Dickinson, will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, June 4, 2016 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church with Father Thomas Grafsgaard celebrating. Burial will take place in St. Wenceslaus cemetery. Visitation for Josephine will be 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm, Friday, June 3rd at Stevenson Funeral Home with a rosary and vigil service being held at 7:00 pm. Josephine passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at CHI St. Alexius Health – Dickinson. Josephine Binstock was born September 9, 1922 in Dickinson, ND, to Louis and Katherine (Bren) Binstock. She grew up and attended country school near New Hradec. After graduating from the eighth grade, Josephine spent many of her younger years working as a housemaid. On November 19, 1940, Josephine married William Privratsky. To this union six children were born: Bernice, LaVerne, Roger, Cynthia, Michaela, and JoLin. Together they raised their family in Dickinson. Ranching and farming was a priority, next to spending time with their kids and grandkids. After retirement, Josephine and William built a home west of Dickinson where they loved tending to their garden. Josephine spent the last several years living at St. Benedicts Court. Josephine loved gardening, putting together puzzles, and baking. Her family especially loved her homemade borscht soup and kolachi. Josephine enjoyed spending time with her family and working alongside William on their farm. She will be greatly missed by her family. Josephine is survived by her children; Bernice (James) Heck of Bismarck, ND, LaVerne (David) Ficek of Brooklyn Park, MN, Roger (Berni) Privratsky of Fargo, ND, Michaela (Jesse Keidel) Duerre of Dickinson, ND, and JoLin (Keith) Marsh of Bismarck, ND; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; son-in-law Merle Rambousek; and sisters, Anne Privratsky and Lillian Splichal. She is preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Katherine; husband, William Privratsky; daughter, Cynthia Rambousek; son-in-law, Dan Duerre; sisters, Mildred, Minnie, Rose, Dorothy, Martha, and Catherine.
