Julia Dvorak, 88, Dickinson, died Monday, February 17, 2003, at St. Benedict?s Health Center, Dickinson. Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 a. m. Thursday, February 20, 2003, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Dickinson, with the Reverend Basil Atwell, O. S. B. celebrating. Concelebrating will be the Reverend Austin Vetter and the reverend Bruce Krebs. Interment will be in St. Wenceslaus Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9 a. m. to 9 p. m. at Price-Murphy Funeral Home with a rosary at 7 p. m. , led by Deacon Ray Jilek. Julia Svoboda was born September 4, 1914, to Anton and Anna (Kozel) Svoboda in New Hradec, ND. She was united in marriage to Louis B. Dvorak at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in New Hradec, North Dakota on May 26, 1937. They made their home in New Hradec for a short time and then moved to Dickinson where they remained. Besides farming, she had been employed by the Star Motel and later by St. Joseph?s Hospital for many years until retirement. She was a member of St. Ann?s Altar Society and a long time member of St. Wenceslaus Church. She leaves to hope in the resurrection to eternal life, her three daughters, Carmae Dvorak, Dickinson, Vi (Neil) LaFave, Cody, Wyo. , Lynn (Jonn) Bruestle, Pelican Rapids, Minn. ; four grandchildren, Camie (Dave) Johnson, Fort Collins, Colo. , Chelsea (Devon) LaFave-Williams, Cody, Wyo. , Tanya (Keith) Schmitt, Fargo, ND and Jonn Michael Bruestle, Pelican Rapids, Minn. and five great grandchildren, Jori, D. J. and Julia Johnson, Fort Collins, Colo. , Gage LaFave-Williams, Cody, Wyo. and Kenny Schmitt, Fargo, ND. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Louis, who died May 7, 1989; her parents; her brother; six sisters; a half-sister and one granddaughter. Blessed be her memory.
