Cremation has taken place and a burial will take place at a later date.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, September 4, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Lakeview Baptist Church.
Julia “Judy” Fradenburgh, 84, of Baker passed away August 30, 2022 with loving family members by her side at Fallon Medical Complex.
Julia was born on February 9, 1938 in Bagley, MN to Merle and Corrine (Stage) McDonald. She grew up in Minnesota and graduated from Bagley High School. Following graduation she married Albert Fradenburgh on June 23, 1956. Their family grew to include five children, Steve, Lorie, Scott, Cindy and Shawn. Life took them and their family to many locations. They first moved to Havre, MT for a couple years and then ended up in Wisconsin. After the loss of their daughter, Lorie, the family returned to Minnesota. Later they moved to Arizona and then back to Montana and finally to Baker. Later in her career with MDU she transferred to Rapid City, SD where Judy and Al lived until she retired. Then Judy and Al moved to Garrison ND until his health led them to move to Bismarck to be closer to the medical facilities. After his passing in 2012 she moved back to Baker to be with family and friends.
Julia had a way with numbers and bookkeeping, she had various places of employment over her years. In her free time she enjoyed sewing and bowling with family and friends. In the kitchen Judy loved baking and her specialties were lefse and homemade bread. Judy and Albert’s family continues to grow with ten grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
Julia is loved and will be missed by sons, Steve (Connie), Scott (Brenda), Shawn; daughter, Cindy (Ernie); grandchildren, Anthony (Jessica), Lori (Justin “JJ”), Ryann (Morgan), Kyle (Brittney), Daniel (Katelin), Dustin (Chelsea), Dillon (Sonya), Darin (Skyler), Molly (Blake), Matthew (Lindsey); 16 great grandchildren; sisters, Carrie Harmon, Hazel (Denny) LaCroix.
Preceded in death by her parents, Merle and Corrine; husband Albert; daughter, Lorie; sister, Mary Rothwell; brothers, William McDonald, James McDonald.
