Julie Ann Duffy, age 34, of Bismarck and formerly of Hebron, died Wednesday, June 15, 2007 while a patient at St. Mary?s Hospital in Rochester, MN. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 PM Tuesday, at the First Baptist Church in Hebron with the Reverend Herbert Schauer, officiating. Burial of ashes will be held in the St. John Cemetery in Hebron. Julie Ann Elmer was born June 7, 1973 at Dickinson, ND the daughter of Don and Ira (Boehler) Elmer. She grew up on a farm near Hebron, which she enjoyed very much. Julie was educated at Hebron Public School. Julie moved to Bismarck where she was employed by Northbrook Amoco, and then moved on to work at Spotlight Video, Conlin?s and Joy?s Hallmark. She was married to Brad Duffy for several years, and together they had one daughter Britney. Julie was a very loving and nurturing person that also loved animals, from watching the buffalo on her uncle?s farm to her own house cats. Julie also was a Denver Bronco?s fan, enjoyed the McQuade softball tournaments, Pro Bull Riding events, and going out on the river. In recent years her heart began to fail, and was a recipient of a heart transplant. Earlier this week, her body rejected the new heart that she had since October of 2006. Those left to share in her memory are her parents: Don and Ira Elmer, Hebron, ND; her daughter : Britney; her brother Lance, Hebron, ND and her sister Connie (Dan) Dwyer, of Bismarck. She also leaves two nephews: Preston and Taylor and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grand parents, and one brother: Miles
