June Glass

Funeral Services for June Glass, 68, of Hebron will be 11:00 a.m. (CDT) Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at St. John Church, Hebron. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery, Hebron.


Visitation will be Monday, April 9, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. (CDT) at St. John Church, Hebron.


June passed away from cancer Friday, April 6, 2012 at the Richardton Health Center, Richardton, ND.


June was born June 7, 1943 in Richardton, the daughter of Emil and Kathryn (Kindsvogel) Heinle. She grew up and attended country school south of Hebron through the 7th grade. After moving into town, June completed her schooling, graduating from Hebron High School in 1962. As a young girl, she worked as a waitress at the Green Lantern Cafe in Hebron. June was married to Gary Glass on July 7, 1962 at St. John UCC Church. Together they farmed and raised their four boys northwest of Hebron. Like many farm families, June and Gary scratched out a living doing anything and everything to make things work. They did everything from milking cows and selling cream to putting in large gardens or working in the fields. June always worked alongside, Gary. She enjoyed watching her boys, Ross, Kent, Bryan and Stuart at rodeos and sporting events and in later years chased her grandchildren to their events. June was always busy with life on the farm, mending clothes and making meals for family gatherings that they hosted in their home. She always had plenty of food ready for any extras that showed up and no one ever went away hungry. June was very active in the community as well as church. She was a member of St. John Church, St. John’s Women’s Guild, Town & Country Homemakers Club, Red Hat Society and a 4-H Leader. June will always be remembered as a giver and a doer. Giving of her time and talent to her family and doing anything in the church or community to make it happen. She especially loved and cared for her husband, children and grandchildren.


Those who have shared her life include, her husband, Gary, Hebron; four sons, Ross (Sheri) Glass, Kent (Wendi) Glass, Bryan (Tanya) Glass all of Hebron and Stuart (Candi) Glass, Dalton, NE; a sister, Janet (Allen) Sayler, Hebron; a brother-in-law, Reuben Kitzan and her grandchildren, Brian, Trish, ShaLee, Chance, Krystal, Kash, Landree, Ty, MaKenzie, Taizalee, Brycen, Brooke and Seth.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Emil and Kathryn; a sister, Elda Kitzan; a nephew, Tracy Sayler and a niece, Arlys (Kitzan) Old.
