June Wickstrom

A funeral service for June Wickstrom, 79, of Baker, will be 11:00 a. m. , Friday, December 4, 2015, at Stevenson Funeral Home in Baker, MT with Pastor Bruce Kolasch officiating. Family Receiving Friends for June will be from 4:00 p. m. to 7:00 p. m. on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Stevenson Funeral Home in Baker, MT. June passed away Monday, November 30, 2015 at Fallon Medical Complex in Baker, MT. June Shirley Hope was born January 12, 1936 to Howard and Minnie (Hutchings) Hope in Vallejo, CA. She grew up and attended school in CA. June later met Gustaf Wickstrom while he was in the US Navy. They married on August 14, 1954 in Vallejo, CA. To this union, five children were born; Ed, Bob, Donna, Danny, and Mary. Gustaf and June moved their family to Buffalo, SD where they made their home. After the children graduated, they moved to Baker and later to Helena, MT for 17 years. Due to failing health, June moved back to Baker where she made her home ever since. June enjoyed knitting and making dolls, along with clothes to match. She loved family gatherings and getting all of the kids together. She especially loved and cherished her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and in-laws. June is survived by her sons, Ed (Myra) Wickstrom of Baker, MT, and Bob (Scott) Wickstrom of Rockport, TX; daughters, Donna (John) Westling of Graventte, AR, and Mary (Otis-preceded in death) Kapps of Baker, MT; brother, Gary (Mary) Hoen of CA; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death her husband Gustaf Wickstrom, son Danny, her parents, 6 brothers, and one sister.
