Services for Karen Allerdings, 61, of Baker will be 10:00 a. m. , Saturday, September 3, 2005 at the Emmanuel Evangelical Free Church, Plevna. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery, Marmarth, ND. Visitation will be Friday, September 2, 2005, from 9:00 a. m. to 9:00 p. m. continuing on Saturday one hour prior to service at the church. A Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 p. m. on Friday at the Stevenson Funeral Home in Baker. Karen passed away Monday, August 29, 2005 at her home in Baker. Karen was born January 6, 1944, the daughter of Louis and Ethel (Williams) Michel at Marmarth, ND. She grew up and attended country school south of Marmarth and later attended the Marmarth High School. Karen was married to Frank Howe in 1962 and to this union four children were born: Sheryl, Bill, and the twins, Tim and Tom. Frank passed away in August of 1975. Karen was married to Myron Allerdings in 1976 in South Dakota. Together, they made Baker their home since. Karen worked as a cook and waitress for the Baker Hotel and Caf? until it closed. She later worked at the Fallon Medical Complex as a cook. In 1990, Karen began cooking for the Baker School System and has remained there since. She enjoyed being outdoors, camping and being around the children at the school. Karen especially loved and enjoyed her children and grandchildren. For the last several years, Karen and Myron have enjoyed the company and friendship of their foster child, Jake McGregory. Survivors include her husband, Myron, Baker; a daughter, Sheryl Sutton, (friend, Dave Asch), Sheridan, WY; three sons, Bill (Lisa) Howe, Billings, MT, Tom (Kathy) Howe, Great Falls, MT and Tim (Trina) Howe, Bagdad, AZ; eight grandchildren: Regina, Dawson, Cassadie, Adam, Austin, Chayse, John and Riley; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Robert (Dorothy) Michel, Spokane, WA, Jack Michel, San Bonita, TX and Lester (Sam) Michel, Reedsburg, WI; two sisters, Dorothy ?Doby? Baron, Moorcroft, WY and Gloria Michel, Las Vegas, NV. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Frank; three brothers, Louis, Charles and Richard and a sister, Gail Hebbert.
