Funeral Services for Karen S. Hartse, 44, of Wibaux will be held 11:00 a. m. , Wednesday, May 31, 2006 at the Christian Fundamental Church in Wibaux with Pastor Jeremy Stradley, officiating. Burial will be in the Carlyle Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00 a. m. to 8:00 p. m. Tuesday, May 30, 2006 at Stevenson Funeral Home in Baker continuing on Wednesday one hour prior to the service at the church. Karen S. Hartse was born October 28, 1961, the daughter of Kenneth and Rochelle (Edwards) Skillman in Livingston, MT. She grew up and attended schools in Livingston, graduating from Park High in 1980. Karen attended a year at MSU in Bozeman. She moved to Miles City where she worked at the Red Rock Restaurant before moving to Carlyle. Karen met the love of her life, Gary Hartse and they were married on June 27, 1986 in Casper, WY. They lived throughout the Tri-State area due to Gary?s work in the oilfield. The family settled on the Hartse Farm and later in Wibaux where they made their home since. Karen worked as an Elderly Aide Provider through Wibaux County. She was very active in 4-H and served as a 4-H leader for several years. Karen also assisted in school activity clubs and always enjoyed helping the kids. She was very committed in helping the elderly and enjoyed her time with them. Karen especially loved her three boys and Gary. She would always place everybody?s needs and wants before herself. Karen enjoyed traveling in the truck with Gary from time to time just to see the country. Karen will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her. Survivors include her husband, Gary, three sons, Dustin, Rusty and Derrick all of Wibaux, MT; her parents, Kenneth and Rochelle Skillman, St. Mary?s, ID; two brothers, Richard (Patricia) Skillman, IL and Rod Skillman, Spokane, WA; a sister Kathy (Les) Ferderer, Beach, ND and numerous nieces and nephews.
