Funeral services for Karen (Ellingson) Olson, 64, of Iowa City, IA, formerly of Dickinson, ND will be 5:00 p. m. Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at Stevenson Funeral Home of Dickinson with Pastor Tim Voth officiating. Burial will take place in the Dickinson Cemetery. Karen passed away Sunday, December 2, 2007 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, IA. Karen was born on December 11, 1942 in Hettinger, ND the daughter of Maurice A. and Inez (Abrahamson) Ellingson. She grew up in Dickinson attending Roosevelt Elementary School, Dickinson High School and Dickinson State University graduating in 1964. Karen loved music and putting jigsaw puzzles together. She also enjoyed working with arts and crafts. Karen had a very loving spirit and will be missed. She is survived by a brother: Richard (LuAnn) Ellingson, West Fargo, ND and a sister; Diane (Brad) Clow, Casper, WY; a nephew, Charles (Victoria) Clow; nieces: Cassie and Stacey Ellingson; and one great-nephew, William Clow. She was preceded in death by both her parents.
