Katherine ?Kate? Eberts, 80, South Heart, died Sunday, January 1, 2006, at her home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a. m. Friday, January 6, 2006, at St. Mary?s Catholic Church, South Heart, with Fr. Shannon Lucht celebrating. Interment will be in St. Mary?s Cemetery, South Heart. Visitation will be 9 a. m. to 9 p. m. Thursday, January 5, 2006, at Price-Murphy Funeral Home, with a rosary and prayer service at 7 p. m. led by Fr. Shannon Lucht. Visitation will continue on Friday at the church one hour prior to the service. Katherine Heidt was born January 9, 1925 in Dickinson to George and Emma (Wandler) Heidt. She married Frank Eberts on November 9, 1943. She was a member of the South Heart Fire Department Women?s Auxiliary, St. Mary?s Catholic Church Christian Mothers, and the South Heart Senior Citizen?s Center. She enjoyed crocheting and gardening. She is survived by: two daughters, Carol (Ken) Lefor, rural South Heart, Sandra (Tim) Gerou, Brainerd, MN; seven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; her brothers and sisters, John (Maxine) Heidt, Riverton, WY, Jenny Vida, San Francisco, CA, Larry (Helen) Heidt, Dickinson, Paul (Betty) Heidt, Dickinson, Clara (Bill) Wendel, South Heart, and Elaine Splichal, South Heart and one sister-in-law, Marge Heidt, South Heart. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Frank; her parents, George and Emma Heidt; two brothers, Fred and Tony Heidt, and one brother-in-law, Val Splichal.
