Kelly was born August 8, 1979, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Along with his mother and brothers Chris and Brad, they moved to Dickinson, ND in December of 1987. At the age of 9, he accepted Christ as his personal savior. Kelly graduated from Dickinson Trinity High School on May 19th, 1997. As a young boy, Kelly enjoyed riding bike, playing basketball and spending time with his brothers. The oldest of 6 children, Kelly quickly learned to be a caretaker in the family, a trait he would continue to carry throughout his life. If anyone was in need of anything, Kelly was the most willing to lend a hand. Kelly?s greatest love was his family. His sons Detric (16 months) and Conner (2 months) and his wife Kristin were everything that Kelly would talk about. They were the sparkle in his eyes, the dimples in his smile and the motivation in his life. Kelly was an avid baseball card and movie collector. Kelly participated in various sports and activities. He enjoyed those he worked with as a roughneck in the oilfields. He was a hard working man, not slowed down by the bumps and bruises that often showed upon his hands and body. Kelly?s hands were rough and showed the toils of the day, but they were also strong, gentle, and care giving. He had the unique ability to make those around him feel like they were the most important person in the world. His loving eyes, his sweet smile, and sense of humor will be so greatly missed by everyone that knew him. He is survived by: his wife, Kristin, Dickinson; his most beloved sons, Detric Ian and Connor Allen; mother and father, Joy and Lyle Schoch; his brothers, Christopher (Kristen) Coleman, Brad Coleman and Simon Schoch; his adoring sisters Emma and Annie Schoch; nephew, Ian Lee Coleman; father and mother-in-law, Fred (Cindy) Ewoniuk; brother-in-law, Eric Ewoniuk; sister-in-law, Taylor Ewoniuk; grandparents; many aunts, uncles and cousins and his biological father, Randy. He was preceded in death by: his great-grandparents. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
