A funeral service for Kenneth Cromp, 61, Dickinson, will be 2:00 p. m. , Friday, December 16, 2016 at Stevenson Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Dieterle officiating. Burial will take place at a later date. Visitation for Kenneth will be from 9:00 a. m. to 1:00 p. m. , Friday, at the funeral home. Kenneth passed away, Monday, December 12, 2016 at CHI St. Alexius Health, Dickinson. Kenneth Wilson was born February 16, 1955, in Oneida, NY the son of Kenneth and Anna Mae (Wallace) Cromp. He grew up and attended schools in Oneida, NY, later moving to CA with his family and completed his schooling. Ken married Debra Routh in Cottonwood, CA in May of 1982. To this union, Eli and Dillenger were born. When Ken was 16, he worked as a “Carnie” helping run the booths along with setting up and teardowns. He later started to work for a metal building contractor in putting up large metal buildings in Oroville, CA. Ken then moved to ND to visit and be with family. In 2008, he and Deb were divorced. Ken continued to make ND his home and due to health problems he was disabled. As his health deteriorated, St. Benedict’s became home for Ken for the past six months. Deb and her husband Franklin continued to care for Ken for many years. Ken was considered a wonderful man, friend, father, grandfather and husband in this life. He was a free spirit and loved to camp, fish and be outdoors with friends and family. Ken is survived by his ex-wife, Deb (Frank) Lashley of Belfield; sons, Eli (Molly) Cromp of Belfield, Dillenger Lawrence Cromp of Belfield; daughter, Angel Cromp of CA; step-sons, Angel Joseph Lough of Bismarck, Christopher Lashley of Belfield; step-daughters, Holly C. Cromp, Sabrina (Kyle) Cromp and Cassie (Jerry) Rhods all of Belfield; 15 grandchildren; brothers, Carl, Lenny, Jamie, John, and Zachery Cromp; sisters, Doreen, Tina and Tammy. He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Debbie and Pam.
