Ken passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2005 at St. Joseph?s Hospital and Health Center in Dickinson. Ken was born May 21, 1925, the son of Clara (Morris) and Thomas Dickinson. He attended local schools until the age of 17 when he entered the Navy and served in WWII. After serving he went into business with his brother and opened a radiator shop in San Diego. Unfortunately, the shop closed during the depression; however, Ken found work in Los Angeles with different airline companies. His first work was on the SR-71, because of his size, he was the only one that could fit into the cockpit. He then worked for The Jet Center repairing many private planes. One of Ken?s memorable experiences was working on Frank Sinatra and Hugh Hefner?s private planes. Ken married Rose Lutes the summer of ?82 in Las Vegas, NV. He loved to ride motorcycles and even talked Rose into many riding adventures. He was an avid sports fan, especially watching basketball and cheering on the LA Lakers. Ken also enjoyed watching Jeopardy; although, his special love was for his children and grandchildren. Due to failing health he moved to Dickinson to be closer to his daughter. Ken is survived by two daughters Tara (Wil) Hanel of Dickinson, ND and Tina (Michael) Cross of Lancaster, CA; and four grandchildren, Eric, Shawnee, Haley, and Riley all of Dickinson, ND. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, a brother and a sister.
