Kenneth Gerving

A funeral Mass for Kenneth “Ken” Gerving, 79, of Glen Ullin, will be 10:30 a. m. CDT, Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Glen Ullin with Father Jeff Zwack celebrating. Burial will follow at North Dakota Veterans Cemetery. Visitation for Ken will be 5:00 p. m. – 7:00 p. m. CDT, Tuesday, October 25th at the church with a rosary and vigil service being held at 6:00 p. m. CDT. Ken passed away Monday, October 17, 2016 at CHI St. Alexius Health, Bismarck, ND. Kenneth Michael was born December 28, 1936 in Glen Ullin, the son of John A. and Theresa (Streitmatter) Gerving. He grew up and attended school in Glen Ullin. Following graduation, he served in the U. S. Air Force for four years before returning to Glen Ullin. While in the service, he met Dorothy Rader and the two were married in New York in 1960. The couple moved back to ND and made their home in Glen Ullin. They were blessed with two children, Darlina and Kenny. Ken is survived by his wife, Dorothy of Glen Ullin; son, Kenny (Tiffany) Gerving; daughter, Darlina (David) Wagner; grandchildren, Rachel, Abigayle, Zachary, Avery; great-grandchildren, Isabella, Lily, Jase; sisters, Judy Stoltz and Lynn (Bernie) Gerving; niece, Dorothy (Jeff) Hay; great-niece, Madison Hay. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Theresa Gerving; brothers, Vernon and Burton Gerving.
