Funeral Services for Kevin Bergman, 56, of Dickinson, ND will be 11 a.m. Friday, February 8, 2008 at the Days Inn/ Grand Dakota Lodge Ballroom, Dickinson, ND. Burial to follow in the Dickinson Cemetery. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday, February 7, 2008 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson, ND. Kevin ?Bergie? Bergman passed away Sunday, February 3, 2008, at the St. Joseph?s Hospital and Health Center in Dickinson. Kevin Bergman was born July 20, 1951, in Dickinson the son of Arthur A. and Florence (Gast) Bergman. Bergie grew up and attended school in Dickinson, graduating from Dickinson High School in 1969. He then attended DSU, formerly, Dickinson State College. He worked at the F. Woolworth Co. in which his dad managed. In 1975, he was an assistant golf pro in Palm Springs; CA. Bergie worked at the Fad clothing store for several years. He also worked for Bosch Lumber and as a land man in the oilfield. In 1986, he began his career as Golf Pro at the Heart River Golf Course and worked there for the next 21 years. Bergie enjoyed teaching and helping young children learn the game of golf. He also enjoyed organizing golf tournaments and especially playing the game when time permitted. Family reunions and celebrations were eagerly anticipated and enjoyed with golf ?tournaments?. He was a kind, wonderful, son, brother, husband, uncle, step-father and friend who will be missed with cherished memories. Bergie was very caring and loving to others and could always bring out the good in others. He was a member of the Elks Lodge 1137, Blue Hawk Boosters and the PGA. Bergie was a loyal die hard Green Bay Packer fan. In memory of Bergie, a golf scholarship has been started thru the DSU Foundation, 230 8th Ave West Dickinson, ND 58601 or to a memorial of your choice. He is survived by: his wife, Cindy Bergman, Dickinson, ND; mother, Florence Bergman, Dickinson, ND; step son, Bryce D. Christenson, U.S. Navy, U.S.S. Abraham Lincoln; brothers, Dennis (Valarie) Bergman, Cincinnati, OH and Carl (Linda) Bergman, Littleton, CO; sisters, Margaret (Robert) Singleton, Coeur d? Alene, ID and Kathleen (Jack) Conlon, Indian Wells, CA and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Arthur A. Bergman in 1977 and a nephew, Darin R. Bergman on January 26, 2008.
