Funeral Services for Kregg L. Flint, 59, of Baker, MT will be at 10:00 a. m. Friday, June 27, 2008 in the Chapel of Stevenson Funeral Home, Baker, MT with Pastor Levi Durfey officiating. Interment will follow in the family lot in Bonnievale Cemetery at Baker with Military Rites being accorded by the Baker American Legion, Fallon Post #35. Kregg passed away on Monday, June 23, 2008 at his home in Baker, MT. Kregg Lewis Flint was born a son of Walter John and Willia Mae (Beckman) Flint in Baker, MT on August 22, 1948. Kregg grew up in Baker, where he attended grade school and graduated from Baker High School. After graduation Kregg attended college at Wyo-Tech in Laramie, WY. During his second year in college, Kregg was drafted into the United States Army. Kregg served from November 1968 until November 1970; being stationed in Vietnam. At the time of his Honorable discharge, Kregg had attained the rank of Sergeant, and earned three Bronze Service Stars. After Kregg was discharged from the Army, he retuned to Baker where he worked in the oil patch. Kregg met Edith Irene Bertsch and the two were married in July, 1971, at American Lutheran Church in Baker. To this union Klint and Koree were born. After his marriage, Kregg worked various jobs in the Baker area. In the late 1970?s until 1984, Kregg owned and operated Flint Yamaha in Baker, where he sold Yamaha motorcycles and Artic Cat snowmobiles. Kregg returned to the oil patch where he worked for Bill and Maria Varner. After the death of Kregg?s father, ?Buzz? in 1991, Kregg managed and operated his parents two business, the Cue & Brew and the Baker Drive-In Theater. Due to failing health, Kregg was forced into retirement a few years ago. Kregg was a proud and faithful member of the Baker American Legion, Post #35, where he had been a member of over 35 years. Kregg had served as the Vice Commander of Post 35. In his younger days Kregg enjoyed hunting and playing softball with the Cue & Brew team. Kregg loved to socialize with his friends and have a good time. Kregg enjoyed being around his grandchildren. Kregg is survived by his Mother, Willia Mae Flint, Baker, MT; his children, Klint (Brenda) Flint, Baker, MT, Koree (Mark) Anderson, Billings, MT, Luke Ruggles, Becki (Bryce) Lawrence and her children and Sandy (Eric) Dowell and her two children; four grandchildren, Konner Flint, Hallie Flint, Peyton Anderson and Jordan Anderson; a sister, Marcee Flint, Baker, MT; a brother, Brian Flint, Phoenix, AZ and his nieces and nephews. His father, Walter ?Buzz? Flint preceded Kregg in death. Arrangements are under the care of the Stevenson Funeral Home of Baker, MT.
