A Funeral Mass for Laurie Hauser 62, of Hebron will be held at 10:00 a.m. CT., Saturday, December 9, 2023 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Hebron with Father Gary Benz celebrating. Burial will follow at St. Ann’s Cemetery.
Visitation for Laurie will be from 5:00 p.m. CT., to 7:00 p.m., CT. Friday, December 8, 2023 at Stevenson Funeral Home in Hebron with a rosary and vigil being held at 6:30 p.m.
Laurie was born April 18, 1961 in Crosby North Dakota to Dewaine and Monica (Friess) Gjovig. The family lived in Ambrose until moving to Hebron where she graduated in 1979. Laurie went on to Dickinson State where she studied Business. She married Mike Hauser on October 22, 1993 at St. Ann’s in Hebron. After working various jobs she became a stay at home mom and took care of her son Trevor. While at home she obtained a certificate in Para Education. After Trevor passed away in 2016, Laurie began working as Para at Richardton School District. Laurie was a Hebron EMT and a member of St. Ann’s Christian Mothers. Laurie loved painting, sewing, talking, cooking and baking.
Laurie is survived by her husband Mike Hauser of Hebron; son, Dustin (Melanie) Wilhelm of Dickinson; daughters, Tahnya (Michael) Pankey of Ventura, CA and Heather Hauser of Hebron; mother-in-law, Geraldine Hauser of Hebron; grandchildren, McKenzie (Khia) Wilhelm, Daymian (Hope) Wilhelm, Noah and Aunika Wilhelm, Kiplin and Everlee Pankey; great-granddaughter, Jewl Wilhelm; siblings, Cindy Gjovig, Sharon Kaminsky, Susan(Stan) Fiedler, Mike Gjovig; brothers-in-law, David Hauser, James (Jerrie) Hauser, Mark (Sara) Hauser; numerous nieces and nephews; and special family friends, Lisa Staiger, Mary Quintus, Jodi Kessel, Kerry Diede, Jen Frank, Kelsey and Eric Duppong.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Dewaine and Monica Gjovig; son, Trevor Hauser; infant sister, Julianna Gjovig; father-in-law, Armin Hauser; sisters-in-law, Joan Hauser Temple and Marie Hauser.
