Funeral Services for LaVerne Schuh, 78, of Baker, are Thursday, February 6, 2003, 11:00 a. m. at American Lutheran Church, Baker, MT. Interment will be Friday, February 7, 2003, 11:00 a. m. at Pisgah Cemetery, Gillette, WY. Visitation is Wednesday from 9:00 a. m. to 9:00 p. m. at Stevenson-Mischel-Olson Chapel of Baker, MT with a prayer service being said at 7:00 p. m. LaVerne E. Schuh, passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2003 at the SCCI Hospital in Mandan, ND following a long illness. LaVerne was born April 7, 1924 in Krim, ND the daughter of Jacob and Pauline (Newman) Neuberger. LaVerne grew up and attended school in Krim, before marrying Roy Schuh on April 20, 1947, in Hazen, ND. They moved to Baker in 1965. She was employed at the Fallon Medical Complex for 31 years. After retiring, LaVerne enjoyed volunteering with the Pink Ladies and attending Senior Center events. She was a dedicated member of the American Lutheran Church. LaVerne is survived by her husband, Roy; three sons: Ronald (Sue) of Dickinson, ND, Donald and Sherald (Betty) both of Gillette, WY; a daughter, LaRay (Kenny) Markve of Gillette, WY; seven grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. LaVern is preceded in death by her parents, two infant children, a brother and a sister.
