A Memorial Service for Lawrence Boggs, 82, of Baker will be 3:00 p. m. , Thursday, March 17, 2016 at The Parlor in Miles City with Ed Hennessy speaking. A reception will follow. Visitation will take place from 9:00 a. m. to 11:00 a. m. , Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Stevenson Funeral Home in Ekalaka followed by a private family burial. He passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at Holy Rosary Healthcare in Miles City. Lawrence Earl was born November 23, 1933 in Ekalaka, MT the son of Les and Belva (Stanton) Boggs. Lawrence grew up and attended school in Ekalaka and then began working on local farms in the area. On September 19, 1966, he married Lois “Irene” Boggs at the Bill and Wilma Stieg place near Ekalaka. To this union they had three children: Steven, Stephanie, and Theresa. They later divorced. The family moved to Baker in 1975, where Lawrence was spent time working with M & M Supply all over the area and eventually became employed with Fallon County Road Department. He worked there until his retirement in the mid ‘90s. Through the years, Lawrence loved going for drives to see the countryside, doing puzzles, and visiting with friends. He was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and enjoyed the fellowship with fellow members in Miles City. Lawrence is survived by his two daughters: Stephanie (Dennis) Twedt of Baker and Theresa Duffield of Wheaton, KS; two grandsons: Wyatt & Logan Boggs; a brother Robert Boggs of Baker; two sisters: Jeanie Tauck and his twin, Florence “Tootie” Boggs both of Ekalaka; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Steven; two brothers, Donald and Vernon; and four sisters, Wilma Stieg, Dorothy Womack, Velma, and infant sister Norma Lee.
