Lee Hewson

Funeral Service for Lee Hewson, 75, of Dickinson will be 10:00 a. m. Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson. Visitation will be from 3:00 p. m. to 6:00 p. m. Monday, November 1, 2010 at Stevenson Funeral Home, Dickinson. Visitation will continue from 8:00 a. m. to 10:00 a. m. on Tuesday at Stevenson Funeral Home. Lee passed away on Friday, October 29, 2010 at the Hill Top Home of Comfort in Killdeer, ND. Lee W. Hewson was born August 16, 1935 to Earl and Daisy (Remington) Hewson on the family farm in Slope County. He grew up and attended country school, graduating from New England High School. After school he continued to work on the family homestead for 25 years. It was during this time that he was baptized as one of Jehovah?s Witnesses. On November 26, 1977 Lee married Shirley Chays. The couple made their home on the family farm and it was here that they raised their family of 6 children. Lee continued to farm until health concerns forced him to retire. For the past 8 yrs. Lee was a resident at Hill Top Home of Comfort. In his early years he was a hard worker enjoyed gardening, milking cows, always enjoyed fresh milk, bacon, beef and pork chops. Lee enjoyed joking with his children and always did the best he could with what he was given. In later years he remained a jokester and maintained his love for milk which he past on to his family. Lee is survived by his wife Shirley, 6 children Myron D. Hewson, New England; Jaret L. Hewson, Devils Lake and Joshua P. Hewson, Fargo, Rachel L Buzalsky, Dilworth , MN, Laia M. Hewson, Fargo, Miranda S. Hewson, Fargo, ND, four grandchildren Bradyn Hewson, Camden Buzalsky, River Buzalsky and ChayLee Hewson, brothers, Harvey, Roy, Dewey, sisters, Earlene Schuhrke, Bev Medalen, Sherryl Ladson, Vivian Dinius, Rita Ehrmantrout. He was preceded by both of his parents and brother Roger Hewson.
