A Memorial Service for Lee Roy ?Doc? Wang, 79, of Ollie, MT will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 14, 2007 at American Lutheran Church in Baker, MT with Pastor Bruce Kolasch officiating. In honoring his request, his ashes will be spread on a special hill overlooking the ranch he so loved. Doc passed away on Monday afternoon, December 10, 2007 at Fallon Medical Complex in Baker, MT with his family at his side. Doc put up a gallant fight against Narcolepsy for 55 years. Lee Roy Wang was born a son of Elmer and Anna (Steen) Wang on December 21, 1927 in Ollie, MT. Lee Roy grew up on the family farm and ranch in the Ollie community in northeastern Fallon County. Lee Roy attended Ollie school where he graduated from Ollie High School in 1945. Lee Roy was also known as ?Doc? throughout his life. As a grade school student at Ollie, he played the part of a ?Doctor? in a school play. Hence the nickname ?Doc? followed him the rest of his life. After Doc graduated from high school, he and his brother Dulane would ranch together the rest of his life, except for a brief period of time when he leased a ranch near Miles City, MT. He also owned a ranch near Marmarth, ND for a few years. Doc was confirmed in the Lutheran Church as a young boy. All of his life he had a passion for good horses and a good dog and seemed to have a special way of communicating with them. Doc always enjoyed a good rodeo. Doc is survived by two brothers, Dulane (Anna Mae) Wang, Ollie, MT and Allan (Ruth) Wang, Baker, MT; two Aunts, Austine Steen and Myrtle Rian; a brother-in-law, Pat Plummer, Beach, ND; a sister-in-law, Doris Berg; special nephew, Dave (Cindy) Wang and their children; a special grand niece, Shannon and other nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Anna Wang, his sisters, Alma, Edna and a brother, Vic and numerous Aunts and Uncles. Arrangements are under the direction of the Stevenson Funeral Home of Baker, MT.
