Leila Kitzan

Leila Kitzan, age 88, of Hebron, died Friday, May 4, 2007 at the Marian Manor Health Care Center in Glen Ullin. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Central Time on Tuesday, May 8, 2007, at the First Baptist Church in Hebron with the Rev. David Ling, officiating. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4-8 PM at Spangelo Funeral Home in Hebron with a prayer service at 6:30 pm. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be held in the Baptist Cemetery in Hebron. Leila was born in Medina, ND, October 20, 1918 the daughter of Fred and Rose (Schneider) Klein. She was raised and educated in rural Hebron. She married William Kitzan July 9, 1935 at Dickinson. Following marriage they farmed in several locations around Hebron. They moved into Hebron in 1967 where Leila provided daycare. Leila enjoyed baking and crocheting. She was also enjoyed the company of her cat. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hebron. Leila is survived by her three children: Darlene Weber, Tatum, NM; Jim, of Hebron, ND; and Ronald (Maria), of Phoenix, AZ; six grand children and several great grandchildren. She also leaves one sister: Virginia Linabitz, of Devils Lake, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter: Gladys; three brothers: Harold, Duane, and Alfred; and one sister: Edna.
